Fish Neurophysiology Research Group, Lab. of Fishbiology, Grad. School of Bioagricultural Sci., Nagoya Univ.
We have been working on information processing of peptidergic neuronal systems in the CNS using fishes (goldfish, medaka, pufferfish, etc.) as models for better understanding of neuromodulation of animal behavior.
Now we are focusing;
- Excitation-secretion coupling of single peptidergic neurons using primary culture and transgenic medakas of GnRH neurons
- Neuromodulatory action of extrahypothalamic GnRH neurons on sensory information processing in CNS
- Olfactory reception of TTX analogs in toxic puffers and their role in reproduction (Please read following article and press release)
