大会実行委員（庶務・事務局長）および学会理事（中部支部長）として関わっている、公益社団法人 日本動物学会第96回名古屋大会の大会HPがオープンに漕ぎ着けました。
名古屋大会のウリは、
- 久しぶりに大学外の会場。広々とした展示場を使ってポスター形式の発表で、ゆったり・じっくりと議論を楽しみましょう！
- 大会3日目には一般公開行事として、恒例の
- 動物学ひろば（会員の研究対象生物を持ち寄っての展示・説明）
- 高校生ポスター
- （今年の目玉として）名古屋大学学内に収蔵される本草学から近代動物学への変遷を物語る動物図譜展示（動物学会歴史資料保存委員会との共同企画）
- 上述の展示に絡んだ公開講演会を開催（予定）
です。
日頃の研究成果を発表し、動物学を研究する仲間との会話・情報交換を楽しむとともに、広く社会に向けて動物学の面白さを伝える3日間（発表しない学部学生は参加費無料）。

The Website for the 96th Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan (Nagoya Conference 2025) is Now Open
As a member of the Organizing Committee (Secretary-General) and a Board Member of the Zoological Society of Japan (Head of the Chubu Branch), I am pleased to announce that the official website for the 96th Annual Meeting of the Zoological Society of Japan (Nagoya Conference 2025) is now open.
The highlights of the ZSJ Nagoya 2025 include:
- A Unique Venue Outside of a University Campus:
This time, we will use a spacious off-campus venue, featuring poster presentations in a relaxed and open setting, perfect for in-depth discussions. - Day 3 Public Events:
- The popular Zoology Square (DOUBUTSUGAKU-HIROBA), where members showcase and explain their research subjects.
- High School Student Poster Presentations.
- (Special Attraction) An exhibition of zoological illustrations housed at Nagoya University, highlighting the transition from traditional herbal medicine to modern zoology, co-organized with the Zoological Society of Japan’s Historical Resources Preservation Committee.
- A public lecture linked to the above exhibition (tentative).
This three-day event is an opportunity to present your research findings, engage in meaningful discussions with fellow zoologists, and share the excitement of zoology with the broader public. (Note: Undergraduate students not presenting research can attend free of charge.)
